Frances Evelyn Westbrook Jenkins

Frances W. Jenkins passed away April 3, 2006. She was born on September 5, 1821, in Spring Garden, AL to E.L. and Emma Westbrook.

Frances is predeceased by her mother and father, and her brother, E.L. Westbrook.

Frances met and married Harvey Jenkins Sept. 22, 1950. She worked most of her adult life with the U.S. Government, moving from Alabama to Fort Walton Beach in 1969. She was employed with Eglin AFB hospital and retired from civil service in 1986. She enjoyed her family gardening and took special pride in her granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca Jenkins. Frances moved with her husband, Harvey, to Freeport, FL, in 1997 to be closer to her family. She has been a pillar of strength to her whole family and will be dearly missed by all.

Frances is survived by her husband, Harvey M. Jenkins of Freeport, FL; sons, Tim Jenkins, of Freeport, and Keith Jenkins and wife, Sandra, of Freeport; sister, Jacqueline Knighten of Ocala, FL: brother, Robert Westbrook and wife Doris of Manchester, TN; granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca Jenkins, and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Yolanda Moffett, and entire caring staff at the Manor, at Bluewater Bay, and Covenant Hospice, of Niceville.

Services were held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home of Niceville on Friday, April 7, 2006. Interment followed in Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
