Mr. Harvey Wayne Howell, age 55, of Ponce De Leon, Florida passed away February 23, 2008. He was born September 29, 1952 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to David Cecil and Nancy Hill Howell.
Harvey had lived most of his life in Holmes County. He was Baptist by faith. Harvey was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his county in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter in construction for many years and he also worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and gardening.
Harvey was preceded in death by his father and mother, David Cecil Howell and Nancy Hill Howell and one sister, Sue Howell.
Harvey is survived by his son, Joe Howell three brothers, Johnny Howell of Tampa, Florida; Ralph Howell of Ponce De Leon, Florida and Ray Howell of Ponce De Leon, Florida and one sister, Barbra Brooks and husband Jerry of Ponce De Leon, Florida. He is survived by nephews: Ricky Howell and wife Chrissy of Leonia, Florida; Bobby Howell and wife Jodi of Ponce De Leon, Florida; Cory Howell and wife Jessica of Geneva, Alabama; Jonathan Howell of Tampa, Florida and Kevin Howell of Ponce De Leon, Florida and one niece, Marilyn Howell of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and special friends Kevin Smith and wife Lisa and their children.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kevin Smith officiating.
