Iona Floyd, age 98, of Euchee Valley passed away March 21, 2008. She was born December 29, 1909, in Holmes County, Florida, to Reeves and Cora Holloway Ramsay.
Mrs. Floyd had been a lifelong resident of Walton County. She was Church of God by faith and a member of Beach Grove Church of God. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and reading her Bible and praising her Lord.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents, 1969 her husband Dave Floyd, in 1979 one son Lonnie Floyd, four brothers, three sisters, two grandson Terry Watson and Tony Floyd.
Mrs. Floyd is survived by her four sons Yarbough Floyd and wife Ferne of Panama City, Florida, Russell Floyd of Lake Wales, Florida, Archie Floyd, Waco, Georgia, Harold Floyd and wife Debbie of Euchee Valley, Florida, six daughters Estelle Crye of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Oleta Floyd of Pace, Florida, Barbara Hindman of Panama City, Florida, Willibel Murphy and Paul of Euchee Valley, Florida, Brenda Zettler of Lake Wales, Florida and Betty Rowe of DeFuniak Springs, eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, two, great great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation services will be conducted at 10:00~11:00 AM, Monday, March 24, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 24, 2008, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Kenny Montgomery and Royce Montgomery officiating. Floral contributions are being accepted. Burial will follow in the Euchee Cemetery.
