Jack Smedley

Jack Smedley, 79, of Ponce de Leon, FL passed away July 4, 2006, at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1926, in Harvey, IL, to Leslie and Frances Jensen Smedley.

Smedley had been a resident of Ponce de Leon for over 11 years. He was Protestant by faith. He was a veteran of WWII serving his country in the United States Air Force as a part of the Sea Rescue Division. He worked as a machinist with Nicor Gas for over 30 years. He also was a car and gun enthusiast.

Smedley was predeceased by his father and mother.

Smedley is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lucy Smedley, of Ponce de Leon, FL, two sons, Michael Smedley, of Illinois and Jeffery Smedley, of Indiana, and also survived by one grandchild.

[Memorialization] was by cremation.
