James (Bobby) Ward, 37, of Freeport died Friday night at his home as a result of gunshot wounds.
He was a retired U.S. Navy man and member of the Baptist Church in Freeport.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the graveside at Hatcher Cemetery with Rev. Otis Guy officiating.
Survivors include his father, E. Graham Ward of Freeport: two brothers, Pat Ward of New York City and George Ward of the U.S. Air Force; a sister, Mrs. Mary Nell Downs of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, James (Bobby) Ward Jr., and Billy Joe Ward, both of Freeport.
