Mrs. Jane Gillis, age 42, of Argyle, passed away Friday afternoon, March 26, in a local hospital. Mrs. Gillis was a native of Jackson County and had been a resident of Walton County for the past 11 years. She was a member of the Davis Lane Baptist Church.
Survivors include her widower, Mr. Millard Gillis of Argle; three sisters, Mrs. Desser Lolley of DeFuniak Springs, Mrs. Evie Champion of Melbourne, Florida, and Mrs. Lorene Weston of Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, March 30, from the Davis Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Barney Hampton and Rev. Claude Sauls officiating. Burial followed in the New Ponce de Leon Cemetery.
