Jesse Ray Hitaffer, 20, went to be with our Lord on June 21, 2006. Jesse was born on Feb. 25, 1986 to Bonnie and Tim Hitaffer of DeFuniak Springs, FL. He attended school at Walton Academy and was employed by T & A Construction Co.
Hitaffer is preceded in death by his grandmother, Sally Jerew, grandfather, Lewis Ray Odom, and sister, April May York.
Hitaffer is survived by his parents; brother, Joseph Hitaffer; sister, Krystal Richardson; wife, Christy Hitaffer; grandmother, Donna K. Odom, of DeFuniak Springs; grandparents, Charles and Barbara Hitaffer, of Virginia, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Hitaffer was special to all that knew and loved him and will be sorely missed.
Pallbearers were William Dunsmore, Joseph Hitaffer, Arthur McDonald, Chris Wilkerson, Steven McGowen, and Antoine James.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Ferrand officiating.
Burial followed in the Concerned Christian Church Cemetery in DeFuniak Springs, FL.
