Funeral services for John C. Clayton Jr. of Santa Rosa Beach, who died Wednesday morning, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, Ala., according to an announcement by officials at Rideout Mortuary in Birmingham. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, daughter, and mother, Mr. Clayton is survived by a brother, Kenneth R. Clayton of Birmingham, and a sister, Mrs. Stanley Sluja, of Syracuse, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II and owner operator of Clayton’s Truck Stop in Santa Rosa Beach.
