Mr. John Cullen Edwards, age 97, a resident of the Pleasant Grove Community, died Wednesday at his home. He was a native and life-long resident of Walton County and a member of the Gum Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Patterson, Rev. J. L. Harris and Rev. C. C. Hornsby officiating.
Interment followed in the Church cemetery.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Laura L. Laird, Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Hazel E. Diamond, Pensacola, and two sons, Mr. Carl Edwards, Vernon and Mr. Clayton Edwards, DeFuniak Springs, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
