John Elwood Carroll, 61, of Leonia, FL., passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 in Bonifay, Florida. He was born May 2, 1947 in Clearmont, FL. to Woodrow and Jewell Howard Carroll.
John was a resident of Leonia, FL. He worked as a carpenter at Showell Farms. He enjoyed working with wood, fishing and spending time with his granddaughter and family.
John was preceded in death by his mother Jewell Carroll, and one brother Sherwood Carroll.
John is survived by his father Woodrow Carroll, his wife of 42 years Juanita Carroll of Leonia; daughter Wanda Lynn Bateman and son Ron Carroll both of Leonia, two brothers Durwood and wife Janie of South Carolina and Woodell Carroll of Leonia; two sisters Virnnell Miller and Virnnett Casey both of Winter garden, Florida; granddaughter Krista Kay Bateman of Leonia, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
