Juanita Dieter Thomsen

Juanita Dieter Thomsen, 82, passed into eternal life on June 14, 2006 at the Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she was a resident for the past 6 1/2 years.

Thomsen was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Berryport, FL in Okaloosa County. She was a resident of Okaloosa County till moving to North Walton County in 1995, and was a charter member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Thomsen is preceded in death by her father, Thomas B. Davis; mother, Lucy Bryant Davis; husband of 35 years, Atley E. Dieter and husband of five years, Emil Thomsen, Jr.; brother, Thomas B. Davis, Jr.; son-in-law, Kent Haggar; grandson, Carl E. Price; grandson-in-law, Ray Fox; great-granddaughter, Monica Duchnowski, and great-great granddaughter, Eleasa Grace.

Thomsen is survived by two daughters, Virginia Dieter Helms Haggar, of Crestview, FL and Celia Dieter Price and husband, Lawrence E. Price, of DeFuniak Springs, FL; four grandchildren, Rev. Richard D. Helms, Jr. and wife, Janette, Joseph D. Helms, Larry J. Price, and Lorie L. Fox; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 26, 2006, in the chapel of McLaughlin Mortuary with Brother Phillip Humber and Rev. Donnie Cadenhead.

Committal services followed at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
