Larry [McArthur] Meredith, 63, of DeFuniak Springs, FL went to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2007, in Jackson, MS.
He was born on Sept. 15, 1943, in Covington County, AL, to Lewis and Roba Conner Meredith.
Meredith was a resident of Walton County for the last ten years. He attended Solid Rock Community Church and knew Jesus as his Savior. Larry loved to work in the church and was a blessing to all his church family. Larry’s wonderful singing was enjoyed by all. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Meredith was predeceased by his father and mother, Lewis and Roba Meredith; one sister, Glendol; two brothers, Virgil and Dwain; one brother-in-law, Carl Scott; and Aunt and Uncle Wade, and Juanita Manning.
Meredith is survived by his daughter, Shawn Deann; sister, Peggy Scott; Aunt and Uncle Carolyn and Bill Miller; two sisters-in-law; four nephews; two nieces; and many cousins, friends and church family.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Murphy officiating.
Burial followed in the Barrancas National Cemetery at Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, with military honors at graveside.
