Mrs. Lena Lenora Rushing, age 85, a resident of Walton County for the past eighty years died Saturday night in a nearby hospital. She was a native of Coffee County, Alabama, and a member of the Davis Lane Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Comander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Emmett Whaley and Rev. Joe Rollins officiating. Interment followed in the Euchee Vallley Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Verie Wilson, Ponce de Leon, and Mrs. Florene Werder, Eugene Oregon, and six sons, Mr. Murdock Rushing, Ponce de Leon, Mr. Louie Rushing and Mr. Ralph Rushing, both of DeFuniak Springs, Mr. Vessie Rushing, Villa Tasso, Mr. Harley Rushing, Newberry, South Carolina, and Mr. Roy Rushing, Calhoun, Georgia. There are 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
