Leonard Bryan Brown

Leonard Bryan Brown, age 25, a resident of Portland, died Sunday night, April 25, from injuries he received in an automobile accident four miles south of DeFuniak Springs, on highway 331. He was a native and life-long resident of Walton County.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Comander Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. C. O’Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Hatcher Cemetery.

Survivors inlude his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Brown, Portland, four brothers, Hoyt S. Brown, Miami, John Elvis Brown, James Olen Brown and Sterling Brown, Jr., all of Portland, and seven sisters, Mrs. Ruthie Merle McCormick, Miami, Mrs. Mary Alice McCormick, Attapulgus, Ga., Mrs. Syble Fannin, Freeport, Mrs. Kenny Justice, DeFuniak Springs. Mrs. Elaine Hibbs, Parkersburg, West Virginia, Mrs. Linda Hicks, Mossy Head, and Miss Shirley Brown, of Portland. Also surviving are the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John O. Brown, of Portland.
