Lester Dennis Yates, age 48, of DeFuniak Springs, died Jan. 25, 2006 at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Christian (Spence) Yates, of DeFuniak Springs; two sons, Dennis Yates, of Bonifay, FL, and Jason Hardy, of Alabama; a daughter, Holly Yates, of DeFuniak Springs; brother, Jerry Petty, of Silver Point, TN; two sisters, Mary “Becky” Pate, of Caryville, FL, and Ann Lewis, of Hammond, LA, and two grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 29, 2006 at the Union Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Edward Williams officiating. Burial was in the Caryville Cemetery with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
