Lucy M. Taylor

Mrs. Lucy M. Taylor, 89, of DeFuniak Springs, FL and passed away Nov. 17, 2006 at Healthmark Regional Medical Center in DeFuniak Springs. She was born Nov. 6, 1917 in Quitman, GA to John and Retha Darsey Mitchell.

Mrs. Taylor had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs. She was Baptist by faith and attended the Baldwin Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time outside and feeding the birds and squirrels.

Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her father and mother; husband, W.D. Taylor; one brother, Robert Mitchell; two sisters, Ruth Spear and Johnnie Mae Baylor, and one son, James Robert Taylor.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, William D. Taylor and wife, Penny, of Deerfield Beach, FL; daughter, Betty J. Black, of Pompano Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Kim Farris and husband, Greg, and Jill Aycock, and six great-grandchildren, Leah, Aaron, Amaris and Daniel Farris, Alex, and Zac Aycock.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Murray officiating. A funeral service will also be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006 at Fairchild Funeral Home, 299 North Federal, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301.

Floral arrangements are being accepted.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Central Cemetery in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
