Marian A. “Dot” Cushing, 84, of Crestview, FL, passed away Thursday evening, at North Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview. Marian was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Fairfax, SC. Marian had been a resident of Crescent Park Village for 4 1/2 years.
She was a retired civil service employee, working for the Air Force and Army for over 30 years. She retired from the Army Depot in Charleston, SC.
Cushing was predeceased by her husband, Charles Cushing, in 1982 and sister, Audrey Jackson of Key West.
Cushing is survived by her daughters, Elaine Mercer and Carolyn Lancaster, both of Crestview; sons-in-law, Joe Mercer and Frank Lancaster, also of Crestview, ﬁve grandsons, Randy Mercer, of Ft. Walton Beach, Stephen Mercer, of Hope Mill, NC, Rodney Lancaster, of Crestview, Scott Lancaster, of Navarre, and Aaron Lancaster of Tampa. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a very special nephew, Ricky Jackson, and niece, Kathy Munoz, both of Key West, FL.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 27, 2006 at Mossy Head First Baptist Church, with Brother Ted Jernigan of Milligan Baptist Church officiating. Special singing by Bro. Jim Jordan of Antioch Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Mossy Head Cemetery in Mossy Head, FL.
