Norman Wayne Matheson

Mr. Norman Matheson, age 70, of Walton County passed away April 29, 2008. He was born March 12, 1938, in Alamosa, Colorado, to Elmer and Afton Mortenson Matheson.

Mr. Matheson had been a resident of Walton County. He was a Mormon by faith and a member of The Church of Later Day Saints DeFuniak Springs’s Ward. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the United States Army, and the Army National Guard. He received his Private Pilot License, he was also a concert Violinist, and also an Executive Chef.

Mr. Matheson was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Verne Rudberg, one daughter Shelly Matheson and nephew Lavon Matheson.

Mr. Matheson is survived by his wife of 38 years Virginia Matheson, one step-son Albert Lynn Larson of Ogden, Utah, step-daughter Mari J. Conrad and husband Landon of Crestview, Florida, one brother John Matheson and wife Myrna of Ogden, Utah, also survived by 5 step-grandchildren Rachel, Taylor and Amber Limes, and Issac and Daelan Conrad.

Memorialization will be by direct cremation.
