Dr. Richard Ashley Brown, 66- year-old Pensacola dentist, died Saturday night at his home, 1096 E. Mallory St., after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday.
Dr. Brown was a native of Walton County, Fla., and lived in Pensacola for the last 40 years of his life.
At the time of his death he was a director of Baptist Hospital, a member of First Baptist Church and the Rotary Club.
He was a past president of the Rotary and was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Escambia Lodge No. 15, Scottish Rite.
A graduate of Southern Dental College in Atlanta, Ga., Dr. Brown served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during World War I.
He was a member of the American Dental Association and had served as president of the Escambia County Dental Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ybette Brown; a sister, Mrs. Albert C. Vaughan of Paxton, Fla., and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body will be moved from Fisher-Pou Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Monday to the First Baptist Church, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Nathan Brooks officiating.
Masonic services will be held at the grave, and the lodge will be open at 10 a.m.
