Mr. Ron Bennett, age 59, of Freeport, Florida passed away August 18, 2008. He was born January 13, 1949 to William and Barbara O’Malia Bennett.
Mr. Bennett had been a resident of Choctaw Beach, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Freeport. He attended college at the University of Arkansas, where he played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks as an Offensive Guard. He worked in the Grain Industry and in farming for many years.
Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Bennett, one brother Randal Bennett and one sister Sherry Rutledge.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his father William “Pete” Bennett of Choctaw Beach, Florida, one son Jarad Bennett, two nephews Ronald Bennett and Stanley Camp and wife Angela, also survived by two nieces Christi Andres and Jennifer Orceano.
Visitation services will be conducted at 10:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hatcher Cemetery.
