Mrs. Roxie Blackman, age 46, of DeFuniak Springs, passed away on January 30, 2008. She was born June 7, 1961 in Samson, Alabama to Samuel and Marie Ellis Blackman.
Mrs. Blackman had been a resident of DeFuniak Springs. She was Baptist by faith. She worked for Caring and Sharing in DeFuniak Springs. She had a passion for helping others. She also worked as a house keeper. She enjoyed fishing.
Mrs. Blackman was preceded in death by her father and maternal grandmother Minnie Ellis.
Mrs. Blackman is survived by her mother Marie R. Blackman of DeFuniak Springs; two sons Michael Coles of Niceville, Florida and Steven Saunders of Stewart, Florida; two daughters Shawna and Ashley Saunders both of Stewart, Florida; four brothers Danny Ray Blackman of Crestview, Florida, Bobby Blackman of FT. Walton Beach, Florida, Darrel Lee Blackman of Stewart, Florida and Sammy Blackman of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and one sister Loretta Fowler of Stewart, Florida.
A time of visitation will be held at 6:00~8:00 PM, Friday, February 1, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Wilson officiating.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Floral arrangements are being accepted.
