Susan Foster

Susan Foster, age 71, of Seagrove Beach, passed away June 30, 2008. She was born September 30, 1936, in Florala, Alabama, to Paul J. Davis and Gladys Sutton Davis.

Susan was reared in DeFuniak Springs and Ft. Walton Beach, where her mother taught school and her father was a civil employee at Eglin Air Force Base.

Susan Foster was a resident of Seagrove Beach. She was Protestant by faith. She graduated from Choctawhatchee High School and the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors of Science Degree. She co-founded the Grayton Beach Fine Arts Festival in 1988; she also owned and operated the Gallery at Grayton Beach, and later The Room at Lakewood. She was an award winning photographer and custom framer.

Susan Foster is preceded in death by her father and mother, Paul J. Davis and Gladys Sutton Davis.

Susan Foster is survived by one brother, John Paul Davis of Beverly Hills, California, and her dear friend Willa Hertwig and Best Friends, Pat Eisenman, Debbie Eberhart, Jan Clark, and new special friend Elaine Noble; she is also survived by many, many dear friends throughout the Walton Community. Susan was also survived by numerous McDaniel, Howard and Sutton cousins in Florala and Walton County.

Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Santa Rosa Beach Community Church, with Reverend Pete Hyde officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan Foster Scholarship Fund c/o Cultural Arts Association, PO Box 4958, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
