Thelma Lorene Collinsworth

Thelma Lorene Collinsworth, 85, of DeFuniak Springs, FL, passed away Nov. 1, 2006 in DeFuniak Springs. She was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Geneva County, AL to George and Dolee Donaldson.

Collinsworth had been a resident of Walton County most of her life. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She worked at Henry Koebers Poultry Plant for over 17 years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Collinsworth was predeceased by her father and mother, her husband, Enoch “Doc” Collinsworth, and one son, Bob Collinsworth.

Collinsworth is survived by one daughter, Jessie Mae Johnson and husband, Floyd, of Glendale; one brother, Eskle Donaldson of Ponce de Leon; five sisters, Lois Reeves of Enterprise, AL, Alice Guthrie and Doris Hills of Palatka, FL, Catherine Hinson of Ponce de Leon, and Fennie Bruce of Macon, GA; five grandchildren, James Collinsworth, Charlotte Day, Tabatha Collinsworth, Rocky Johnson, and Telesa Raughon; one great-granddaughter, and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Collinsworth.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Revs. Uvonne Carroll and Doyle Brake officiating.

Pallbearers were Dale Cook, Peter Scroll, John Peters, Ronald Edwards, William Bailey Jr., and Michael Day Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Edwards and Jacob Scroll.

Burial followed in Piney Grove Cemetery.
