Faye Gillis of Dickinson, TX, passed away Feb. 12, 2007, at UTMB in Galveston, TX, and was born Aug. 12, 1935, in DeFuniak Springs, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Gillis.
Gillis is survived by four sons, David Gillis, and wife, Janie and children; Amy Cmaidalka and husband Brian, and Chris Lamar Gillis; Tim Gillis and wife Miray and children, Kristen and Amber; Tommy Gillis, and wife, Miki, and children, Tyler and Kacee; daughter, Kathy Gillis and son, Aaron Ramber, and wife Chantal and great-grandchild Haley.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Euchee Valley Cemetery with Minister Lyle Gillis officiating.
The Gillis family would like to express our deep appreciation to all those who gave and shared memories with our mother. She was truly a caring and sympathetic person to all she knew.
Faye truly loved working at the Citgo store in Dickinson and her work became a great part of her life. The well-being of her customers and their families was always of great importance to her. The numerous inquiries from families and friends show what an impact she had on people’s lives. We thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and kind words for our Faye.
