William Frederick Hansen, Jr., 53, of 3005 Echo Point Lane, died Sunday at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a native of Jamaica, Long Island, New York, and lived in Tallahassee since 1953. He was the editor of the Florida Wildlife Magazine for 20 years, and a member of the Florida and American Outdoor Writers Association. He was a veteran in the Navy of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Hansen of Tallahassee; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Hansen, Sr. of Tallahassee.
Culley and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held at Culley’s Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 am, Tuesday, February 4, 1975, with the Rev. Jack Hughen officiating. Interment will be in the Santa Rosa Cemetery at Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, at 3:30 pm on Tuesday. Culley & Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family request those wishing to do so to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Penny Hansen, Tallahassee; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Hansen, Sr., Tallahassee.
