William Joseph Jones, 57, of DeFuniak Springs passed away May 5, 2006 at his residence in DeFuniak Springs, FL. He was born Feb. 6 1949 in Glendale, FL, to William and Vassie Gibson Jones.
Jones was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was Protestant by faith. He Worked as a painter for over 30 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and landscaping, fishing, hunting and riding his four wheeler.
Jones was predeceased by his father and mother; and sister, Jeanette Williams, and three brothers.
Jones is survived by his daughter, Loretta Jones and Jon Johnson, of Crestview; brother, David Jones and Alma Wilcox, of DeFuniak Springs; four sisters, Vera Goodwin, and Linda and Tom Boone, all of Sharpsburg, N.C, Craty and Chester Floyd of Seale, AL; and Peggy and Matthew Jones, of DeFuniak Springs; and one granddaughter, Ariel Cloe Ann Jones.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Eric Bryan, Tom Boone, and Andy Tipton officiating.
Burial followed in the Red Bay Cemetery.
