William L. Jemmott, Jr.

William L. Jemmott Jr, 83, of Panama City, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006, at a local hospital. He was born in DeFuniak Springs, FL, and had lived in Bay County since 1989. He moved to Panama City from Bloomfield, CT.

Jemmott retired as an electrician with Northeast Utility Company in Hartford, CT, after 29 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Jemmott is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Jemmott, of Panama City; a son, Harry V. Jemmott, of Hartford, CT; his daughters, Sable A. Jemmott, of Panama City, and Angelica Y. Jemmott, of New York City, NY; a grandson, Gordon Jemmott, of Miami, FL; two sisters, Anna B. Jemmott and Effie J. Harding, of DeFuniak Springs, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service was held Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Michael Hance officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jemmott’s name to the Watchtower Worldwide Relief Fund, I620 Florida Avenue, Panama City, FL, 32405.
