William Richard Myles, Jr.

Mr. Dick Myles, Jr., age 86, passed away September 25, 2009. He was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to William Richard and Elsie Graser Myles, Sr.

Dick was a resident of Freeport, Florida originally from Auburn, Alabama. He was a veteran of World War II serving his country in the United States Army Air Corps and United States Air Force Reserves for over 30 years. He also worked as a Professor at Auburn University, teaching Personnel Management. He then became the Personnel Manager of Auburn University before he retired. He was also awarded Professor Emeritus by the School of Business.

Dick was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Dick is survived by his wife of 22 years, Marie Weaver Myles of Freeport, Florida; one son, William R. Myles, III and wife Kathleen of Huntsville, Alabama; two daughters, Debora Catherine Myles and husband Warner Britton of Auburn, Alabama; Elizabeth Myles Kalla and husband Paul of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Katherine Nichole Weaver Gaskin and husband Jack, Carrie Ann Weaver, Colette Rosemary Kalla, Dillon Myles Kalla and Laura Elise Myles. He was also survived by his sister-in-law Martha Weaver Fortner and husband Wayne of Portland, Florida.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
