Mr. Herbert Young, age 78, of Mossy Head, Florida passed away November 27, 2007, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was born September 11, 1929, in Baker, Florida to Henry and Mary Cook Young.
Mr. Young had been a resident of Mossy Head for the past seventeen years moving from Ft. Walton Beach. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Ocean City Baptist Church in Ft. Walton Beach.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers D.C Young and John W. Young.
Mr. Young is survived by his son Wendell J. Young of Mossy Head, Florida, daughter Brenda K. Braswell and husband Levi of Baker, Florida, two sisters Dorothy C. Arnett of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Anges Chambless of Destin, Florida, two grandchildren Kassie Nicole Young and Mitchell J. Young, and two great-grandchildren Gracie Young and Hunter Young.
A time of visitation will be held at 6:00~8:00 PM, Friday, November 30, 2007, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Crowder Chapel Cemetery, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating. Floral arrangements are being accepted.
