Mrs. Joyce Bell, age 72, of Liberty, Florida went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2008 with her family at her side. She was born November 21, 1935 in Walton County, Florida to Eddie and Maudrena Harrison Arnold.
Joyce was a resident of Walton County. She was Baptist by faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Liberty. She worked as a sewing machine operator at Covington Sewing Factory for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses, cooking for her family and fishing. She also enjoyed crocheting. She was always willing to share a meal to anyone in the community. She enjoyed country music, gospel music and loved to sing and dance.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father and mother, her first husband Lewis Prater, her second husband Ernest Thomason, three brothers Bobby Joe Arnold, John Arnold and Roy Arnold, one sister Judy Turner, and one grandchild Jeffery McMillian.
Joyce is survived by her son Timothy Thomason of Liberty, Florida; three daughters Sandy Yearwood and husband Bill, Donna Stevens and husband Ricky and Linda Whatley all of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one brother Jack Arnold Sr. of Liberty, Florida; one sister Martha Peacock of Liberty, Florida; 13 grandchildren Joe Contrearas, Angel Contrearas, Michelle Alford, Shawndrea King, Crystal Bryan, Heather Penn, Daisy Kilgore, Daniel Bryan, Victoria Thomason, Cynthia Thomason, Anthony McMillian, Wendell McMillian and Wendy McMillian, and 19 great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at 6:00~8:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
Burial will follow in the Clear Springs Cemetery.
Floral arrangements are being accepted.
