Pattillo Campbell, Referee In Bankruptcy, Succumbs At His Home

Funeral Services Will Be Conducted Today At 9 A. M.


Pattillo Campbell, widely known Pensacola attorney and referee in bankruptcy, died suddenly at his home, 505 North Guillemarde street, yesterday at 1:15 a. m.
57 Years Old
Campbell, who was 57 years old, had apparently been in good health, conducting his business affairs as usual Saturday. He was stricken soon after 11 p. m. and died about two hours later.

Death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage.

Campbell was well known through West Florida. He was born in Walton county, the son of Daniel L. and Annie C. Campbell, and came to Pensacola about 35 years ago. He received his early schooling at the state normal school, DeFuniak Springs.
Practiced Law Many Years
He practiced law for many years but had specialized in supervision of bankruptcy cases in recent years.

He was a cousin of Judge A. G. Campbell, of circuit court. Campbell is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Robert C. Haven, San Diego, Cal.; three sons, Pattillo, Jr. Murdock and Robert, all of Pensacola, five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services Today
Funeral services will be held today at 9 a. m. from the family home with Dr. George Stanley Frazer, pastor of First Presbyterian church, of which Campbell was a member, officiating.

Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: William Fisher, W. H. Watson, L. V. Holsberry, Forsyth Caro, Frank Lee and W. H. Owens.

T. M. Lloyd company is in charge, of funeral arrangements.
