Mr. Ellis Miller, age 78, of Samson, Alabama passed away January 4, 2008 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born October 18, 1928 in Blakely, Georgia to Sam and Rose Rayburn Miller.
Mr. Miller been a resident of Geneva County and was Baptist by faith. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and working with animals and he also worked as a veterinarian assistant.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his father and mother and one sister Ruby Huckabee.
Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Virginia E. Miller; four sons Jerry Miller of Coffee Springs, Alabama, Joseph Miller of Moulton, Alabama, Jamie Miller of Enterprise, Alabama and Johnnie T. Miller of Samson, Alabama; one daughter Theresa Smith of Samson, Alabama; five brothers Robert Miller, Clayton Miller, Billy Ray Miller, John Henry Miller and David Miller; three sisters Lucille Thames, Janice Tusky and Cindy Miller; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by direct cremation.
