Joseph W. Turner, 71, 3706 4th Ave., died today [July 22, 1970] at Pine Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, with burial in Riverdale Cemetery.
Mr. Turner was born in Defuniak Springs, Fla., and had lived in Columbus for the past 53 years.
A retired barber, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Flora Huckabee Turner, Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Francis Chesire and Mrs. Carolyn Jacobs, both of Columbus; two sons, Brady Turner, Brunswick, Ga., and Leman Benton, Eustis, Fla. two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gill, Defuniak Springs, Fla., and Mrs. Lucille Mills of Arcadia, Fla.; three brothers, Dallas Miller, Tauares, Fla., George Miller, Defuniak Springs, Fla., and Zora Miller, Calif.; and seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
